I'm a damn alcoholic I must admit that, and sometimes it's quite stupid when people ask me and say..
Common conversation of mine
"Hey, lets go drink one or two. *wink*"
"Ok, but Yann, Are you ok?"
"I'm definitely ok what?"
"Then why you want to go drink? Anything happened?"
"................ *Totally speechless*............."
Do we need a reason to drink? I don't see the point! I drink alcohol because I like to, alcohol offering pleasure and relaxation, just like people out there that like to drink soft drinks, do you need to be in certain condition to drink coke? DUH! It's not like I'm bad mood only I go drink OK? Please get it right.
When I consume alcohol, I don't abuse them, I only take the right amount, ok! Don't tell me alcohol is bad for health, it's only bad when you're taking excessive amount of alcohol, consuming anything with excessive amount is also considering bad ok?
But one thing is........
Just make sure you control the amount you drink, know your limit, you don't want to be like her yes?

Yea I like to drink too, but only when I have the money and I am in the mood.

i used to drink alone too for no reason but people asked me about the same thing =.=
